If you transferred into CSUMB as an AA-T-certified student in Geography, you must complete the following courses for your bachelor's degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences with a concentration in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at CSUMB. If you are unsure about your transfer status, please talk to an advisor.
Complete ALL of the following courses:

- SBS 366/LSBS 366/L: Rsrch Mthd for SBS:Quant Emph
- SBS 356SBS 356: Introduction to Geography
- SBS 371SBS 371: Applications/GIS/Soc/Scie/Busi
- ENVS 436ENVS 436: Rmt Sns/Image Process
- SBS 400SBS 400: Senior Capstone Seminar I
- SBS 405SBS 405: Assessment Lab/Grad/Srs
Complete ONE of the following courses:
- SBS 402SBS 402: Senior Capstone Seminar II (For students who have already taken a non-capstone upper-division service learning course)
- SBS 404SSBS 404S: Service Learning Capstone (For students who have NOT taken an upper-divsion service learning course)
Complete TWO of the following courses:
- SBS 351SBS 351: Global Econ:Theory, Ethics
- ENVS 332ENVS 332: Intro to GIS/GPS
- CST 305CST 305: 3D Modeling & Animation
- CST 363CST 363: Intro to Database Systems
- BUS 469BUS 469: Database Management
If the American Insitutions requirement has not been met before transfer, students may substitute SBS 385SBS 385: Environmental History of CA for one of the courses in the list above.
Students must also demonstrate second language proficiency at the 201 level.
