The CSIT online degree completion program from California State University, Monterey Bay offers a unique blend of computer science theory and hands-on information technology practice, with a concentration in software engineering. This combination results in graduates exclusively prepared to participate in the fast-paced information economy in jobs such as Mobile App Developer, Software Developer or Project Manager.

Students must be transfer ready in order to start the CSIT Degree Completion Program. Transfer ready is defined as:                                                                 

  • 60 or more semester credits (90 quarter units) of transferable courses
  • Minimum GPA of a 2.00 
  • Completed at least 30 semester credits (45 quarter units) of general education courses with a grade of C or better
  • Within the 30 general education credits, complete with a C or better the four-course sequence most commonly approved as English composition, speech, critical thinking, and a mathematics course with intermediate algebra as a prerequisite (Golden Four)
  • "Good standing" at their current or last college/university

Students may need to complete additional electives to fulfill the 120 units required for graduation.
