If you intend to be an Environmental Science, Technology & Policy major, you may declare ESTP as your major as soon as you enter CSUMB. If you are a CSUMB student who wishes to become an ESTP student, you should meet with an advisor to submit an online change of major and to develop a better understanding of expectations and opportunities.

You can consult the course pathways as general guides to planning your coursework to complete degree requirements, but the published pathways are just examples that may not apply to your particular situation. Prospective majors are encouraged to meet with an ESTP advisor. We welcome inquiries from both current and prospective students.

With careful course selection, 23 credits of major requirements can double-count with General Education requirements, so it is to your benefit to plan your coursework with the help of an advisor.

You are strongly encouraged to meet with your advisor each semester to develop a long-range plan of which classes you will take to fulfill each of the graduation requirements. The ILP form and other advising documents are available from the Environmental Science, Technology & Policy advising website.

To contact an ESTP Advisor, visit the SEP office in the Chapman Science Center, Room E318; email sep_office@csumb.edu; or call 831-582-4120.
