The B.A. in Spanish requires students to complete the following 6 Major Learning Outcomes (MLOs):

  3. One course from the following (4 units): SPAN 306: Cultur/Civ Span Ltn Amer, SPAN 316: Span Culture & Civ, SPAN 321: Masterpieces of Hispanic Lit, SPAN 322: Masterpieces Latinamer Lit
  4. Emphasis Electives (4 courses, 16 units): Choose an Emphasis in Language and Linguistics or Emphasis in Literature and Culture and complete 4 courses from your emphasis of choice. No course may be double-counted for the major core and as an elective.
