The minor in Nonprofit Management provides you with the opportunity to gain the knowledge and professional skills needed to effectively lead and manage within the community-based nonprofit organization sector, or to prepare for a graduate degree in Public Administration. This program develops better and more informed non profit organization managers in order to improve service delivery, promote more cost-effective service, make better use of increasingly scarce resources and strengthen the ability of community organizations to achieve their missions.
Integration with Majors
The Nonprofit Management minor complements the curriculum of CHHS, BUS, ENSTU, TAT, VPA, and other majors across campus by providing knowledge and skills needed to effectively lead and manage within the community-based nonprofit organization sector, focusing on organizational, operational, and regulatory aspects of accounting, management, finance and staff leadership that are unique to nonprofit organizations.
