Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental principles and issues common to the major fields of health and human services including community health, social welfare and public policy; and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities pertinent to the health and/or human service concentration area(s) selected.
Required Courses

- SW 310: Introduction to Social Work (4 units)
- PH 320: Intro to Community Health (4 units)
- CHHS 396S: Jr Field Pract Seminar A: SL (3 units)
- CHHS 496A: Sr Field Pract Seminar-A (3 units)
- CHHS 496B: Sr Field Pract Seminar-B (3 units)
- Social Work Concentration
- In addition to the core courses listed above, students in the Social Work concentration also complete:
- SW 405: Social Work Practice (4 units)
- Community Health Concentration
