To be well prepared for the Business B.S. degree program, we recommend you take the following pre-requisite courses prior to starting your upper division coursework in the major. You also should speak with your advisor about what you've taken so far and what your goals are in order to map out an academic plan that works for you.
Preparation for Community College Transfer Students
General Education requires one lower division math class but Business requires that you complete two math classes:
- Finite Math 1 or Precalculus
- Finite Math 2 or Statistics
Prior to starting the Business Administration major core coursework at CSUMB, students must complete the following classes:
- Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, which can be taken in any order.
- Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting. You must pass Financial accounting prior to taking Managerial Accounting
