Fulltime: Traditional Student Teaching Pathway

In the traditional multiple subjects credential program, you can earn your credential in two consecutive fulltime stages if all academic and experiential prerequisites have been completed. The following would be a typical pathway that you might follow to complete the requirements as a fulltime student. Please note, individuals in iTEP complete a minimum of 12 units of Stage I credential courses in the last semester of their senior year (excluding ED 538: Intro to Classrm Tech Level 1 and ED 611: Teaching & Learning), and Stage II courses in the post baccaluaurate semester.

Internship Pathway

The Internship pathway takes four continuous school terms, beginning in June of one summer and ending the end of July the following summer if all academic and experiential prerequisites have been completed.

The following would be a typical pathway that you might follow to complete the requirements through the Internship pathway in that time frame. It is possible to ease the load on a given semester by extending your time in the program by one or two semesters. Please note: The intern pathway is based on availability pending further review of school districts demand for multiple subject interns. Therefore, it is offered on an "as needed" basis with a high class enrollment.
