Outcome 1 - Biological Foundations
- Complete all of the following courses (12 credits). Up to 8 of these credits may double-count for the major; 4 credits should count only for the minor. Note that each of these biology courses has one or more chemistry prerequisites.

Outcome 2 - Advanced Knowledge in Biology
- Complete three or more courses, totaling at least 8 credits and including at least one course with a lab, from the list below. At least 8 credits taken to fulfill this Advanced Biology Learning Outcome must be in addition to any upper-division biology courses counted toward one's major requirements. Note that each of these upper-division biology courses has one or more lower-division biology prerequisites
