Behavior Analysis Certificate Program

CSU Monterey Bay offers a Certificate Program in Behavior Analysis. The program consists of the following three Special Education Program university courses:

  • SPED 566: Behavior Intervention/Support: Behavior Intervention/Support
  • SPED 681: Adv Bev/Emotional/Env Support: Adv Bev/Emotional/Env Support
  • SPED 578: Seminar/Behavior Analysis: Seminar/Behavior Analysis

These courses are only offered on campus. Students who are not already enrolled in one of our special education credential programs may enroll in these courses through CSUMB's Extended Education at csumb.edu/extended.

Additionally, these three courses satisfy the Behavior Analyst Certification Board's university coursework requirements for National Certification as an Associate Behavior Analyst. Thus, when the university certificate program is completed, students will just need to meet the Supervised Experience requirements set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board to be eligible to sit for the National Board Certification Exam. For more information on the associate level certification in behavior analysis please see the BACB web site at www.bacb.com.

For additional information on the program please contact Dr. Josh Harrower.
