Fulltime Traditional Student Teaching Pathway

In the traditional single subject credential program, you can earn your credential in two consecutive fulltime semesters if all academic and experiential prerequisites have been completed.

The following courses are required to earn your credential. You will want to work closely with the single subject coordinator to develop a pathway that is customized to your unique situation, and fits best with the sequencing and scheduling of course offerings.

Internship Pathway

The internship pathway takes three continuous school terms, beginning in June of one summer and ending the end of May if all academic and experiential prerequisites have been completed. The internship pathway includes one course, the Teacher’s Academy, required by the state to prepare intern teachers for some practical aspects of taking over their own classroom in the fall.

You will want to work closely with the single subject coordinator to develop a pathway that is customized to your unique situation, and fits best with the sequencing and scheduling of course offerings.
