Currently, we offer two on-campus pathways for earning your Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential: the traditional, full-time student teaching pathway, and the internship pathway. Individuals can earn the credential after obtaining the bachelor's degree or while in CSUMB's Liberal Studies Intergrated Program.
Both credentialing pathways are designed for individuals who are interested in teaching in linguistically and culturally diverse elementary schools. Additionally, upon completion of the program, individuals will obtain the English Learner Authorization (ELA or CLAD). The ELA will authorize individuals to teach school children from non-English backgrounds, in settings where instruction is provided primarily through English.
