Faculty, staff and peer advisors work collaboratively to support and guide you through the curriculum so you reach your academic goals. Faculty members serve as mentors to help you develop your academic plans and position yourself to achieve your career objectives. The Liberal Studies advising coordinator, a specialist trained to advise and coordinate with you during the advising process, works one-on-one with you to develop a Major Requirements Graduation Check that outlines how you will achieve the Major Learning Outcomes. Student peer advisors provide experienced advice on completing graduation and degree requirements.
The Liberal Studies Advising Center serves as a one-stop-shop to answer questions about the major and how to prepare for entrance into a multiple subjects teaching credential program.
Advising is available on an appointment or drop-in basis. Email queries can be directed to liberal_studies@csumb.edu or (831) 582-4560.
