VA Educational Benefit Certification at CSUMB

If you are a veteran, reservist or dependent of a disabled or deceased veteran you should visit the Registrar's office and ask to speak to the VA Benefits Counselor, Giselle Young, about Montgomery GI Bill benefits and enrollment certification. She can answer questions about the variety of VA benefit classifications, the application process, current benefits payments, eligibility standards and the enrollment certification process.

If you are planning to attend CSUMB, you should contact the Veterans Benefits Counselor before the beginning of your first semester to be advised on how to file for benefits. As a continuing student with VA benefit eligibility, you will need to submit a VA Enrollment Certification Request form as soon as you have finalized your registration each semester in order to ensure that there is no break in benefits.

VA Benefits Counselor office hours are 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. To schedule an appointment you can either call 831-582-3561 or send an email request directly to the counselor at:
