Parking Services

A comprehensive parking program, as required by state law and the policy of the CSU Board of Trustees, is administered by a combination of police, technical, clerical and student staff.  The program performs a wide range of functions such as: establishing and enforcing parking regulations, parking facility renovation and maintenance, the Community Service Officer program, managing lost and found property, and LiveScan fingerprinting.  Parking permit eligibility and regulations (including conditions and limitations) are specified in the University Parking Policy.

Emergency Management, Health & Safety

The responsibility to administer a campus-wide Emergency Management program and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) as required in California State University Executive Orders#1056 and #1039 has been delegated to the University Police Department (UPD).  The authority to manage this responsibility has been delegated to the Division of Emergency Management, Health & Safety (EMHS). EMHS staff designed a program that meets State (SEMS) and Federal (NIMS) requirements while incorporating principles of the Incident Command System (ICS) to effectively manage emergencies.  A regional Emergency Operations Center has been established on campus which provides an opportunity to establish best practices and ultimately leads to more effective collaborative regional emergency response.  The program addresses emergency preparedness and resilience planning through education, training, hazard mitigation, resourse management, active exercises and programs.  The OHS program provides support, guidance and leadership in promoting safety, protecting resources and achieving regulatory compliance by providing tools that empower the community to maintain a safe and healthy campus.
