Center for Reading Diagnosis and Instruction

Since its opening in March of 2007, The Center for Reading Diagnosis and Instruction has been a valuable resource to students, parents and educators in our Tri-county area. At the center, students in grades K-12 receive tutoring in reading and writing. A reading specialist assesses the student's literacy skills and then develops lessons based on the results. CSUMB students deliver individualized lessons focusing on decoding, comprehension and fluency. Throughout the year, the center offers literacy enrichment activities for students, such as a summer camp. The center staff and faculty also provide professional development for educators throughout the year.
