Graduates who have completed the Outdoor Education and Recreation minor in conjunction with a CSUMB major have entered and achieved notable success in the following careers: leading adventure trips; teaching classes in various outdoor disciplines; working in corporate settings such as summer camps; serving the community in positions in state and national parks and city recreation programs. Students can also pursue graduate degrees in recreation and tourism and sustainability education.

With a minor in Outdoor Education from the Kinesiology Department, a CSUMB graduate can work in the ever-growing outdoor-oriented discipline anywhere in the country and especially in Monterey, where our students carry out internships and hold part-time positions in the outdoor industry to receive valuable on-the-job training.
