Course-Based Assessment
In courses satisfying the Literature and Popular Culture ULR, the following evidence might be assessed to determine if you have satisfied the outcomes for the ULR.
- A written account
- A multimedia presentation
- A display board
- A roleplay or dramatization
- A musical score
- An audio or video tape
For a description of the criteria that guide the faculty member assessing the evidence, email the Literature and Popular Culture learning community chair.
Alternative Assessment
You can also meet the requirements for this ULR through assessment of prior learning. To complete alternative assessment, you must submit a portfolio demonstrating achievement of the learning outcomes.
Alternative assessment assumes that you have already attained mastery of the outcomes. It is not an independent study. For information on how to qualify for alternative assessment, email the Literature and Popular Culture learning community chair.
