Course-Based Assessment
In each course satisfying the Ethics ULR, faculty assess one or more of the following forms of evidence to determine if you have satisfied the outcomes for the ULR.
- A written account
- A multimedia presentation
- A display board
- A roleplay or dramatization
- A musical score
- An audiotape
- A graphic representation
The following criteria guide the faculty member assessing the evidence.
- Complexity
- Conscious Awareness
- Depth of Understanding
- Coherence and Logic
- Reflection
- Relational Accountability
Alternative Assessments
You can also meet the requirements for this ULR through assessment of prior learning. To complete alternative assessment, you must submit a portfolio demonstrating achievement of the learning outcomes.
Alternative assessment assumes that you have already attained mastery of the outcomes. It is not an independent study. For information on how to qualify for alternative assessment, email the Ethics learning community chair.
