Service Learning Leadership Minor ~ Distinguishing Features

CSUMB is recognized as a national leader in the service learning field, especially with regard to the integration of issues of diversity and social justice with the practice of service learning. You will be actively working with national leaders in this exciting new field. Student Leaders make presentations at national and regional service learning conferences.

You will be actively engaged in community work as a fundamental component of your courses in this minor. Coursework will give you the opportunity to reflect on your community service experience, and relate theory and readings to your real-world experience in a dynamic, personal way. Upon graduation, you will be able to bring your skills to jobs in education, human services, and environmental education, among other fields. Graduates of this program are currently employed with foundations, agencies, and schools throughout the region.
