MPP graduates may pursue and achieve notable success in advanced careers in public policy arenas at the local, state, national and international levels. Typical positions for MPP graduates include legislative, administrative, budget, or policy analyst; chief of staff; strategic planning consultant; program or policy advocate; executive-level organizational or agency leader; and policy researcher.

Current students have been successful in securing higher-level policy-related positions, as well as altogether new positions, through knowledge and skills developed in the MPP program and networking in their internships.

Doctoral Study

MPP graduates are qualified to enter fields of doctoral study including public policy, public health, social welfare, public administration, and city and regional planning.
