The Social Work Minor provides an interdisciplinary introduction to core knowledge and skills you will need to begin a professional career in social work, counseling, case management, client advocacy, or corrections. The curriculum emphasizes entry-level practice skills, professional ethics and values, human behavior and development, and an internship experience.
The SW Minor complements and builds upon the strengths of Liberal Studies, Human Communication, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and other major degree programs, equipping you with a unique and practical skill set. SW also provides a solid background for Business Administration majors interested in the nonprofit sector.
