MSMIT students come from a variety of academic backgrounds. To ensure that each student is prepared for the academic rigor of our graduate curriculum, we require the following foundation competencies in:
- Management
- Marketing
- Finance/Accounting
- Database
- Computer Programming/Scripting
- Internet technology
Students can take upper or lower division college courses to acquire the competencies. Applicants who do not have the foundational competencies can be admitted and enrolled in classes conditionally. The program provides self-paced online modules for the students to fulfill the competencies. Students are required to fulfill all conditions within six months of being admitted into the program.
