Vice President for Student Affairs
Dr. Patricia Cardenas-Adame joined the university in August 2009. As the Vice President for Student Affairs, she provides administrative leadership and oversight for student housing and residential life, student activities and leadership development, athletics, judicial affairs, student government, the health and counseling centers, student disability resources, and the child care center.
Dr. Cardenas-Adame joins us from Mesa Community College, a campus of 27,000 students (12,000 FTE), where she served as Vice President of Student Affairs. She has more than 25 years of experience in higher education, with specialization in the areas of enrollment and student support.
Dr. Cardenas-Adame holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Capella University, a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management and Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Texas A&M University.
