This pathway is one example of how a student might complete all the requirements for their degree and takes into account pre-requisites.  This pathway assumes students have completed lower division GE requirements, and three pre-requisite courses: 1) programming or scripting class equivalent to CST 231CST 231: Problm-Solving/Programng or CST 221CST 221: Scripting for Multimedia; 2) basic media tools equivalent to CST 201CST 201: Media Tools; 3) Intro to digital graphic design, comparable to CST 227CST 227: Intro Digital Graphic Design. In addition, students in the Web Design web design concentration should complete a web design course with html and CSS equivalent to CST 251CST 251: Web Tools.

A student’s actual pathway may be different given their unique situation.  There is flexibility built into the curriculum.  A student will want to work closely with an advisor and use the academic advisement report to develop a customized pathway.

Use this sample pathway as a starting point to choose classes or discuss your plans with an advisor.
