Purpose of the Major

The highly integrated TMAC degree provides a broad-based understanding of current information technologies and media design. You choose and combine your studies of computer networking, system administration, software design, game design, visual design, instructional design, and information systems. ITCD helps you combine technical knowledge with design, communication, problem-solving, and management skills. TMAC graduates are uniquely qualified for collaborative projects working from within small design firms to global high-tech corporations.

The School of Information Technology and Communication Design, which offers the TMAC program, distinguishes itself from other university programs by its unique combination of technology and design. The project-oriented and outcomes-based mode of learning has been recognized for its innovative and integrative application of technology, design, and management in student learning.

Throughout your TMAC course of study, you follow an Individual Learning Plan, gradually building a portfolio that demonstrates successful achievement of that ILP.
