HPWE 120 CPR/First Aid; one maritime activity class and one terrestrial activity class selected from the HPWE skills-oriented courses (Note: It is acceptable for you to enroll concurrently in these courses and in your minor courses.)

LO 3 Technical Skills ~ students demonstrate back-country skills in water safety, group facilitation, leadership, first aid, back-country travel, navigation, and minimum-impact camping
LO 4 Diversity and Multiculturalism ~ students understand and appreciate the aspects of race, culture, and gender issues relating to access, opportunity, and perception in adventure education and outdoor recreation
