Graduates who have completed the Human Movement Minor in conjunction with a CSUMB major have entered and achieved notable success in careers with special populations in academic, counseling, and sports environments.
As more people with atypical needs become streamlined into society, all professions need to have knowledge of the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective (emotional) needs of all students, which the Human Movement minor provides.
Many of our graduates have been hired on emergency credentials as teachers in special education and mainstream classrooms while earning their credentials due to the great need for professionals with a background in Human Movement: Adapted Physical Activity.
Others have been hired in the private sector and have become trainers for other professionals working with special needs populations.
