MIST benefits working professionals seeking new approaches to instructional challenges. Through a thought-provoking curriculum, current teachers, corporate trainers, and technologists learn how to integrate technology into classroom and corporate training. MIST prepares professionals to use technology both at a distance and in traditional classroom settings. MIST graduates are able to research, plan, design, implement, and evaluate highly interactive computer-enhanced learning systems and teaching modules. MIST positions them to assume leadership roles as instructional technologists, educational specialists, instructional designers, and corporate trainers.
College of Science, Media Arts and Technology > School of Information Technology and Communications Design
The MIST degree may be completed through courses that have both online and in-person components (i.e. hybrid courses). MIST students can continue their jobs while participating fully in the program. Students meet face-to-face with their faculty on the CSUMB campus near beautiful Monterey, California for just five extended weekend seminars during the program.
