Admissions ~ Freshman Requirements

Generally, you will qualify for regular admission as a first-time freshman applicant to CSUMB and other CSU campuses if you meet the requirements below. Contact a high school or community college counselor or CSUMB Admissions & Records if you have questions.

• Have graduated high school,
• Have a qualifiable eligibility index (see Eligibility Index), and
• Have completed with grades of C or better each of the courses in the comprehensive pattern of college preparatory subject requirements (see Subject Requirements).

Note: Adopted at the California State University system level and mandated for inclusion in all CSU campus catalogs , gray-colored text applies to  all 23 campuses in the system. Black text pertains uniquely to CSUMB.
