First Year Seminar provides a common experience to entering students, introducing them to the CSUMB Vision, introducing them to the campus and area communities, engaging them in the unique approaches and challenges of CSUMB Academic Life, and supporting their exploration of their past, present, and future as they transition to college, explore the majors, and develop and pursue their future goals.

First Year Seminar promotes not only persistence in college, but college success.
