Description
Provides the models and methods used in a career in technology, engineering, and natural and biological sciences. Emphasizes the use of tables, graphs, and elementary descriptive statistical applications. Introduces statistical inferences through parameter estimation and regression modeling. Introduces students to the basic skills for using computers in statistical analyses. (Offered fall and spring semesters.)

STAT 320: Mathematical Statistics

Description
Mathematical Statistics: Probability models and statistical methods for analyzing data have become common practice. Introduces those models and methods along with their theoretical backgrounds most likely to be encountered and used by students in their career in science and technology. Reviews introductory statistics and extends the scope of statistics into deeper theoretical aspects using mathematical statistics. (Offered when enrollment warrants.)
