TAT graduates are uniquely positioned to enter cross-disciplinary and emergent fields evolving from the technological and global convergence of media content, broadband, and wireless distribution.
Some have become independent and entrepreneurial media makers. They have started their own companies, founded film festivals, won awards for their work, aired on public television, and screened at national festivals.
Others have pursued successful careers in independent, nonprofit, and commercial industries in established and emergent fields including movies, television and radio, gaming and electronic entertainment, broadband distribution, performing arts, and education.
TAT graduates work in all areas including preproduction, production, post-production, distribution, education and training, business development, and technical media support.
Organizations that have employed TAT graduates include ABC, CBS, FOX, Discovery, Disney, KSBW TV, Eidos Interactive, Electronic Arts, Current TV, Cafe FX Studio, Santa Cruz X Radio, El Teatro Campesino, Western Stage, International School of Monterey, and California State University.
TAT students and graduates have received awards from the Director's Guild of America , College Emmy Award, Mill Valley Film Festival, CSU Media Arts Festival, CSU Student Research Award, San Diego Latino Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival Emerging Filmmaker's Program, and others.
TAT alumni have continued their education in many fields of graduate and professional study including filmmaking, editing, directing, and media arts.
They have attended a variety of graduate institutions including the American Film Institute, UCLA Film and Television School, USA Film Directors Program, Dublin University Film Program, CSU East Bay Media Arts Program, and international programs.
