Information Technology and Communication Design B.S.~ Recommended Preparation
To be well prepared for entry into the Information Technology and Communication Design B.S. degree program and to graduate in four years (for new freshman) or two years (for transfer students), the following coursework should be taken prior to entering CSUMB:
Complete as many math and computing courses as available at your school, including pre-calculus, and at least two years of a foreign language.
Complete lower-division general education requirements in the following areas:
In addition to the GE requirements, transfer students should complete the third semester of a foreign language before transferring to fulfill CSUMB's language requirement. Two semesters may count towards C-area GE requirements.
Transfer students planning to major in ITCD should complete the following lower-division prerequisite courses at a community college. A matrix of articulated courses for local community colleges is provided below.
