Application Fee

Application fee (nonrefundable), payable by check or money order at time application is made: $55

Registration Fees

The tables below show two sets of possible 2006-2007 fees. These represent the lowest and highest possible fee rates.

The higher rates reflect increases for 2006-2007 approved at the October 2005 CSU Board of Trustees meeting. These increases total eight percent for undergraduates and 10 percent for students enrolled in teacher credential and graduate/postbaccalaureate programs.

The lower amounts reflect fee rates in the governor's proposed budget that includes a $54.4 million buyout of the fee increases approved by the trustees to maintain CSU fees at 2005-2006 levels. Because the buyout and fee rates proposed in the governor's budget must be approved by the legislature, it is possible that 2006-2007 fees may be as high as the rates approved by the trustees.

CSUMB will initially charge the lower with buyout fees shown below. If the state budget does not include the full buyout, you will be charged registration fees that may be as high as the without buyout amounts shown below. If you have already prepaid the lower rate, you will see a balance due on your account reflecting the fee rate increase.

Campus-Specific Fees

All matriculated students pay the following fees each semester regardless of student status or semester credits taken.

Nonresident Students (U.S. and Foreign)

Nonresident tuition (in addition to other fees charged all students): $339 per semester credit.

The total nonresident tuition paid per term will be determined by the number of credits taken. The maximum nonresident tuition per academic year (as of 2006-07) is $10,170.
