Health and Wellness Minor ~ Overview

In the Health and Wellness minor, you study the breadth and depth of various dimensions covered in the field of wellness education. We address learning about personal well-being and skill enhancement that you can implement into your chosen major. Students wanting to live optimally and help the well-being and self-responsibility of others should strongly consider this minor.

Advisors will help you with the process of declaring the minor and advising which of the three additional courses required might be of primary interest and most applicable to your major or chosen life path. You can choose from the following topic offerings:

  • Fundamentals and issues involved in human sexuality
  • Multicultural ancestral views of well-being and healing
  • Effectively dealing with modern day stress
  • Fundamentals of life long nutrition/prevention
  • Patterns and dynamics of relationships
  • Behavior change and support strategies
  • Possible substitution of another course with advisor's consent
