Jack B. Jewett assumed the position of Vice President for University Advancement on August 1, 2007.

Jewett came to CSUMB from TMC HealthCare in Tucson, Arizona, where he served as senior vice president for public policy from 1999 to 2007. In that position, he directed the organization’s comprehensive advancement operations.

Jack's background includes a broad range of experience. He served for nine years on the Arizona Board of Regents, where he was the chief architect of a strategic planning effort for the three state universities that made them more accessible to students; he was elected to five terms in the Arizona House of Representatives; he worked for 25 years with Territorial Publishers, Inc., a family-owned community newspaper and printing company in Arizona, and served as president of the company. He has served on an extensive list of boards and committees, including the Association of Governing Board of Universities and Colleges, a national association serving trustees in higher education.

“Jack’s experience in higher education, elected office, fundraising, and business is an excellent fit with CSUMB’s needs,” says CSUMB President Dianne Harrison. “In Jack, we have a talented and experienced administrator who shares our commitment to student success.”
