Teledramatic Arts and Technology, B.A. ~ Overview

Teledramatics is the innovative study and practice of transmedia—or cross-media—storytelling that has emerged from the disciplines of theater, radio, film, television, and new media. Storytelling practices in the 21st century are evolving as global markets, digital technologies, and networked communication transform and expand the modes of creating and disseminating stories.

Teledramatic Arts and Technology prepares you to enter this world as engaged participants, leaders, and agents of social change. You become a skilled practitioner in the evolving forms of narrative, documentary, experimental, and interactive media. You excel in the emergent global media environment, with its multiple and convergent distribution channels and microcommunities. The program fosters innovative practice in digital media arts; commercial, independent, and community media; and critical studies in technology and culture.

TAT provides cross-disciplinary, collaborative learning through hands-on instruction supported by a technology rich infrastructure. Collaborative, transmedia learning experiences prepare you to explore the new ways of storytelling that are evolving from the technological and global convergence of media content, broadband, and wireless distribution.
