Instructional Science and Technology, M.A. ~ Overview

MIST benefits working professionals seeking new approaches to instructional challenges. Through a thought-provoking curriculum, current teachers, corporate trainers, and technologists learn how to integrate technology into classroom and corporate training. MIST prepares professionals to use technology both at a distance and in traditional classroom settings. MIST graduates are able to research, plan, design, implement, and evaluate highly interactive computer-enhanced learning systems and teaching modules. MIST positions them to assume leadership roles as instructional technologists, educational specialists, instructional designers, and corporate trainers.

Online Components

The MIST degree may be completed through courses that have both online and in-person components (i.e. hybrid courses). MIST students can continue their jobs while participating fully in the program. Students meet face-to-face with their faculty on the CSUMB campus near beautiful Monterey, California for just five extended weekend seminars during the program.
