Course-Based Assessment

In each course satisfying the Mathematics Communication ULR, the following evidence is assessed to determine if you have satisfied the outcomes for the ULR.

  • Projects and papers using mathematics or statistics
  • Demonstrated performance by suitable academic testing

  • Appropriateness
  • Clarity and Coherence
  • Depth of Understanding
Alternative Assessments

You can also meet the requirements for this ULR through assessment of prior learning. To complete alternative assessment, you must submit a portfolio demonstrating achievement of the learning outcomes.

Alternative assessment assumes that you have already attained mastery of the outcomes. It is not an independent study. For information on how to qualify for alternative assessment, email the Mathematics Communication learning community chair.
