If you transferred into CSUMB as an AA-T-certified student in English, you must complete the following courses for your bachelor's degree in Human Communication at CSUMB. If you are unsure about your transfer status, please talk to an advisor.

To complete the requirements of the HCOM degree students must complete at least one course which is designated as RTI -Research/Theory Intensive.

Complete ALL of the following courses:

• HCOM 300: Major ProSeminar (2 units)
• HCOM 312: Cooperative Argumentation-Theory and Practice (4 units)
• HCOM 475: Senior Capstone (4 units)
• SBS 350: Domination and Resistance: US since 1880 (4 units) (Fulfills American Institutions Requirement, GE Area D 2)
• HCOM 339S: Creative Writing and Service Learning (6 units)

Complete ONE of the following courses:

• HCOM 315: Media for Social Change (4 units)
• HCOM 316: Media Ethics (4 units)
• HCOM 328: Latina Life Stories (4 units)
• HCOM 329: Auto/Biografias (4 units)
• HCOM 350: Oral Hist/Comm Mem (4 units)

Complete ONE of the following courses:

• HCOM 306: Gender and Communication (4 units)

Complete ONE of the following courses:
