Stimulates the interest of students in using the scientific principles of the discipline to improve understanding of one's self and the social behavior and interactions of others. Requires that students demonstrate an adequate grasp of the content knowledge of the discipline, and demonstrate discipline and the ability to use sociological methods and strategies.
