Admissions ~ English Language Proficiency Requirements

All undergraduate applicants whose native language is not English and who have not attended schools at the secondary level or above for at least three years fulltime where English is the principal language of instruction must present a sufficient test result from either the TOEFL or the IELTS.  Official test scores must be sent to the Office of Admissions.

Some majors and some other CSU campuses may require a higher score. Some CSU campuses may also use alternative methods of assessing English fluency.

CSU Monterey Bay requires a minimum score of 6.
