Liberal Studies B.A. ~ Typical Course Pathways

The Liberal Studies program is designed to meet California State requirements for subject matter competency for students desiring to attain a multiple subjects credential to teach in K-8 schools. You take sequences of courses across academic disciplines that prepare you to teach the subjects usually taught in elementary school and to pass the California Subject Examination Test: Multiple Subjects (required for entrance into a teaching credential program).

Collaboratively with an advisor, you will design an Individual Learning Plan to achieve your personal educational and career outcomes while also satisfying State requirements for teaching preparation, University Learning Requirements, Graduation Learning Outcomes, and Major Learning Outcomes.
